- ACS Award in Sports Coaching, Sports Coach UK, Northern Ireland Sports Council
- Law Enforcement Training tutor certificate (via LETS)
- First aid and CPR certificates, including; occupational first aid, first aid skills and emergency aid, and Garda Vetting.
- 36 years training in Wado-Ryu & Kissaki Kai Karate,
- 29 years as primary club organiser/instructor,
- National Certificates in Health & Safety awareness and in Child protection
- Former Chairman of the Ulster Karate Federation
- Certificate in Reality-based Personal Protection - Knife Survival
- 18 years of Competition (Kumite)
- 2 years training in Freestyle sports competition(karate/kickboxing)
- World Karate Council, Referee 1998-1999-2000
- Senior Tatami Referee Female senior open & heavyweight Kumite Finals 1998
- Ulster Karate Council Referee to 2007
