If you are interested in practicing Karate"
The FIRST STEP is the hardest step to take.
Thinking about what it will be like etc. and the process of deciding to attend your first class can be a daunting experience. We understand that, because we went through it too, but by the end of your first session, you could have acquired new skills and be totally relaxed in a new, rewarding and enlightening environment.
"Real KARATE" .. "is NOT", and was not ever intended to be, a young persons "pursuit"
Karate is not a game, nor intended to be a game Its now important to remember
that Children in Karate is a TRULY MODERN phenomenon ("not a Traditional one").
Some basic concepts and principles are helped and often require a degree of life experience and knowledge.
Real Karate is pragmatic at its purest, and it is not a game, its function was and is to provide and to teach Adults civilian protection skills.
Real Karate, is not a sports competition and never was
Unfortunately a current popular misconception, would have people believe & envisioning that the watered down modern versions, that can be regarded an artistic endeavour or sporting activity, where people can win some trophies is real karate, this is a mistake.
Karate; Its primary function and true purpose.
Karate needs to be of an applied practical functional in nature, useful to all, the athlete and the non-athlete, its not a points scoring exercise.
